I am facing my second semester of community college right now, with no decided
major or minor. My advice would be to definitely sign up for some sort of
financial aid. That will really help with paying for college. As for what you
should do, Your best bet would be to take a few aptitude tests to determine
your strong points and what you do best. For me personally, a lot of my tests
showed me to be a hands on kinda guy, so I have been debating on going into
some sort of physical type of work, but at the same time I am a musical &
technical kind of guy too. So there are options for you. You just need to
figure out what those options are. Once you narrow things down a bit. Find a
college that suits that. I chose a community college because I can get a
kickstart there, and figure things out more crucially once I have an Associate
in Arts degree.

I have taken quite a few tests and almost always they come back with the
results of 'You can be anything!' lol. One year my friend had me do a
personality test for his psych class. I was every color, no joke.

It looks like I was one of the lucky ones. I myself am a senior as well, but
I've known mostly what I was interested in since I was a sophomore and knew
where I wanted to go since I was a freshman. Again, I was lucky that I was
accepted into that sole university that I applied to and it happens to be a
great one to get my major. It's also in sort of a place that I want to be
(large city, I've been a medium-sized town kid all my life) As for advice, I
would assume that all sorts of roadblocks would appear. My main ones were
related to transcripts not being sent and having to motivate myself to fill out
those friggin' scholarship applications. I guess all that I can say is that you
need to do your best to get over or around these rough patches. As I understand
it -- and anyone may correct me on this, as I'm possibly wrong -- these
disappointments and setbacks are pretty much par for the course. And as for my
future rough spots... I've been pretty terrrible in social situations in the
past, which is going to be something I need to get over in or before college,
because I'm not sure I'll make it without a good group of friends. Also, such
social skills are necessary for the workplace, so I'm sure I'll benefit from
that more than most other things. I wish you good luck in your search. Keep
fighting those dragons.
